Substance Use Care: Recovery Your Way.
Many people who struggle with alcohol or other substances do not see themselves reflected in traditional treatment settings. You may be balancing work, family, and responsibilities while quietly wondering whether your relationship with substances could be healthier and if it affects your health, mood, or relationships. I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for individuals who want to better understand or change their substance use.
Some people are unsure whether their use is a problem. Others know they want to make a change but are not sure where to start. You’re not alone, and support exists that meets you where you are.
Individualized, Evidence-Based Care
Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. Treatment should be tailored to your goals, lifestyle, and challenges. Some of my clients want complete sobriety. Others simply want to explore their current use and find a healthier balance. Wherever you are on that spectrum, you’ll find a nonjudgmental, confidential space here. My role is to meet you with compassion and practical tools for change.
I provide a thoughtful, collaborative approach that combines:
Psychiatric evaluation & therapy – addressing mood, anxiety, and stress that often accompany and impact substance use
Medication options – including treatments that can reduce cravings and support recovery
Practical strategies – helping you manage triggers, patterns, and stressors in your daily life
Together, we create a plan that fits your life, whether that involves medication, therapy, or a combination. My goal is to provide care that is safe, effective, and empowering.
Medication-Assisted Treatment
One of the things many patients don’t know is that medications can play a significant role in supporting recovery from substance use disorders.
While these options are backed by strong research, relatively few providers are trained or comfortable prescribing them. That’s where my dual expertise in psychiatry and substance use care can help. I work with patients to explore whether medication-assisted treatment could be a helpful part of their recovery plan — always combined with supportive therapy and practical strategies.
Outpatient detox support for alcohol and benzodiazepines is available when clinically appropriate. I conduct careful medical and safety assessments to determine whether outpatient care is a safe and effective option.
The first step is simple: reach out to schedule a consultation or ask a question. We’ll talk about your goals, review options, and develop a plan that feels achievable and supportive.
